Artist Talk: Painting the Present with Tim Tozer
Tim will discuss his recent work, how he’s moved from representational to abstract paintings that verge on sculpture, and the processes he’s developed along the way.
Born in 1969 in Portsmouth, UK, Tim moved to the U.S. in 1994 upon receiving the prestigious Andy Warhol Scholarship for study at the New York Academy of Art. After earning his MFA in painting, Tozer taught painting and drawing at Indiana University in Bloomington, the Minneapolis College of Art and now at the University of Wisconsin – Stout.
