Hot weather starts next week

It's going to be HOT next week! Expect highs in the 80s and 90s for most places. Areas along the North Shore will have the coolest temps. Moderate to major heat-related impacts are possible.

Severe storms are possible Sunday through Tuesday. Greatest chance of severe storms Sun, Mon. Strong/severe storms possible Tue, Wed also. Storms will also be capable of producing locally heavy rain which may lead to minor flooding. The greatest risk for Sunday is generally north of a line from near Brainerd to Ely. There is a smaller chance of severe storms over the remainder of the Northland. The severe weather risk for Monday features a level 2 out of 5 risk of severe storms for nearly all of the Northland. More storms are possible later in the week as well.
