Northland Weekend Outlook

Jun 18, 2026 05:49AM ● By Content Editor
From the National Weather Service in Duluth - June 18, 2026

Planning your weekend in the Northland? Temperatures will remain steady with highs in the mid-60s to low 70s through Sunday. Isolated afternoon showers and storms are possible today and Saturday, primarily across the Arrowhead region and northwest Wisconsin. Friday carries a higher chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms, with a few strong storms possible to the south. Sunday looks to be the driest day of the stretch, featuring partly to mostly sunny skies.

Isolated strong storms are possible across parts of the region Friday. The main timing for these storms will be from the early afternoon into the evening. While widespread severe weather is not expected, a few strong (non-severe) storms could produce small hail up to penny-sized (0.75") and gusty winds up to 40-50 mph. Whether you are camping, boating, or have outdoor plans, please stay weather-aware and have a plan for safe shelter. Make sure you have a reliable way to receive warning information both at home and outdoors! Stay updated at weather.gov/duluth.
