In partnership with Authors for Minnesota Day, Drury Lane Books will be hosting regional author, Sam Tschida, from 12-4:00pm on Saturday, February 28. Tschida will be on site signing books and facilitating a giveaway- for each digital donation to either the Immigrant Law Center of MN or the Women’s Foundation of MN, participants can choose an item or book from the giveaway table. We will also have a portion of books signed and donated from Leif Enger.

Organized by authors Jess Lourey and Kristi Belcamino, the goal of Authors for Minnesota Day is to raise funds for the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota (www.ilcm.org) and the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota (www.wfmn.org), and to also support local bookstores. On this day, there will be 24 bookstores participating statewide with the help of over 50 local authors donating their time and books to support making this possible. “Storytelling is about seeing the world through a new set of eyes, and so it’s always been political. In Minnesota, community is our foundation and diversity is our strength.” -Jess Lourey, Minnesota Book Award Winning Author and TEDx Presenter. To keep up to date with information, join the event “Authors for Minnesota Day” on Facebook.

Drury Lane Books is a small independent bookstore on the shore of Lake Superior focusing on local and regional literature. Founded in 2002 by feminist lesbian author and publisher Joan Drury, we strive to have a feminist, thoughtful, collaborative and inclusive space.
