We spent the evening at Split Rock Lighthouse State Park photographing the Super Beaver Full Moon rising over Split Rock Lighthouse. There is usually only one time a year where the alignment is just right and everything comes together to watch this magical event. 

The November full moon is traditionally known as the Beaver Moon. This year it was also the Super Moon where it is the closest to earth in its elliptical orbit. Wednesday evening the moon was almost twenty percent larger and thirty percent brighter. Having photographed the moonrise at Split Rock almost every year since 1985 this was by far the best.
