From the Cook County Highway Department - October 9, 2025

Here is an update from the Cook County Highway Department regarding the Gunflint Trail Mill the Hill Project as of October 9, 2025:

Starting Wednesday, October 15, additional traffic changes will begin to occur on the Gunflint Trail.
Crews will begin pavement milling and asphalt paving operations.

During these operations, the roadway surface will be rough. There will be changes in grade and bumps in the roadway.

Traffic patterns will change frequently, and motorists should obey all traffic signs.

This paving work is scheduled to be completed by Thursday, October 23.
