A round of rain and thunderstorms rolled through Cook County and Grand Portage this morning, bringing anywhere between .10" and up to an inch to the area. 

The following are recorded rainfall totals from the National Weather Service, volunteer weather watchers, and other services as of 9 a.m. this morning. 

  • Seagull Lake: 0.95 in  
  • Grand Marais: 0.75 in
  • Hog Creek: 0.67 in
  • Brule River near Hovland: 0.63 in
  • Superior Qd No. 4: 0.59 in
  • Lutsen: 0.51 in
  • Grand Portage: 0.45 in
  • Hovland: 0.44 in
  • Bay Of Grand Marais: 0.41 in 
  • Grand Portage: 0.36 in
  • Tofte: 0.31 in 
  • Lutsen: 0.29 in 
  • Schroeder: 0.10 in

Rain and thunderstorms are expected again later today, with a 15-40% chance of flash flooding, especially near the north shore.
