Join the Cook County Highway Department at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday May 2, 2024,
at the Hovland Town Hall to discuss the upcoming Arrowhead Trail and Chicago Bay Road Improvement Projects.

Project Descriptions:

• The Arrowhead Trail from Highway 61 up to Tower Road will have the existing pavement resurfaced, culverts replaced, and the crossing at Otis Creek will be upsized to a larger box culvert. Additionally, discussion will center around extending the pavement another 4.5-miles to Irish Creek Road. Traffic counts, road use, and maintenance costs are driving the proposed pavement extension.

• Chicago Bay Road will be resurfaced. Additional discussion to include paving the Hovland dock parking area.

Meeting Setup:

• The meeting will be a town hall style. A short presentation with handouts and preliminary project design(s) for people to discuss and comment on.

• Due to technical limitations, the meeting will not be streamed or recorded.
