Winter storm warning in effect for higher elevations of Cook County until 12pm

Forecast snow amounts along the higher terrain of Cook County have ticked upward, and so we have issued a Winter Storm Warning there through 9 AM Wednesday. Widespread 3-6" with locally higher 6-8" amounts. Note that lesser amounts are expected along the shoreline.
