A weak cold front will bring a chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms this afternoon with rain chances lingering Saturday. Today will be on the warmer side with widespread 70s and 80s. Significant rainfall amounts are not expected with this activity.
Sunshine and warmer temperatures have led to a big upward swing in lake water temperature over the last couple weeks, including in Lake Superior's shallower water. Underneath any warm surface water though, lurks much colder temps! Explore this model data and more at: https://www.glerl.noaa.gov/res/glcfs/ncast.php?lake=sup
