To celebrate Mother's Day weekend and Minnesota's fishing opener, the Department of Natural Resources will allow Minnesota mothers to fish without purchasing a license this weekend. 

The DNR's annual event, running May 13-14, allows mothers who live in Minnesota to take to the lakes and streams without a fishing license and become eligible to win prizes along the way.
