50th Anniversary Commemoration of the End of the Vietnam War

March 17, 2023 – Cook County Veteran Services announced event details regarding the 50th Anniversary Commemoration of the End of the Vietnam War. The Open House will be held on Wednesday, March 29 in the main floor dining room in the American Legion Post 109 in Two Harbors, MN.

This will be a community event open to the public, all veterans, and their family members. A free light lunch and non-alcoholic beverage will be provided for Vietnam War-era veterans and one significant other. The Post is located at 614 First Avenue, Two Harbors Minnesota. There will be country maps, displays, and informational tables on hand. Everyone is invited to attend.

The County Veteran Services Office and AEOA are working on providing transportation to and from the event. For those interested please call the Cook County Veterans Service Office at 218-387-3639. Please leave your name, phone number, if you use a wheelchair, and if you will have another person accompanying you (one per veteran). Space is limited so please call by March 23, 2023. The pickup and drop-off site will be at the Hub/Senior Center in Grand Marais with a departure time of 9:30 a.m.
