The Hovland Arts Festival indoor show takes place the Saturday following Thanksgiving each year. This year, the event hosted 13 art vendors, a baker, The Bad Seed food truck, and 2 nonprofits.
Boreal Community Media spoke with the current Hovland Art Group volunteers (who asked that their group be named versus an individual) of the semi-annual festival, who said that they estimate there were about 500-600 people who attended.
"We were very very busy, certainly there were 100 visitors in the hall at any time from 10 to 1, then slightly less dense in the afternoon. We were at capacity most of the day," the Art Group said.
The organizers are already looking ahead to the summer outdoor version of the Festival.
The Art Group Volunteers also shared that "in the summer, we expand to outside with an extra 30 or so vendors in the parking lot, and live bands. Next summer the dates are July 1 & 2."
