There are many cities and towns across the state where you can easily experience this firsthand. But one, in particular, may stand out above the rest in terms of friendliness. Grand Marais, Minnesota, is a go-to spot for those looking for welcoming locals and community spirit with a good dose of natural beauty. Grand Marais is a small town on Minnesota's North Shore. Around 1,300 people make their homes in this community right on the edge of Lake Superior. Thanks to its beauty, amenities, and events, we believe this might be the friendliest town in Minnesota.
When you take a look at the natural scenery, it's easy to see why people here can't stop smiling. Stunning views of Lake Superior and the rolling hills and rugged rocks that surround it add up to a spectacular landscape.
