Mid-Winter Greetings, Families!

The big deal at GES this week was the (First Annual?) Self Portrait Gallery Walk!  There was a bit of concern that this event would even take place after it needed to be postponed two times.  I believe everyone who participated would agree that it was worth the wait!  As dusk approached and the luminaries were lit, and fairy lights came, the GES school yard became a magical place.  The atmosphere was joyful as families were able to safely mingle and admire the hard work of our students.  As parents reconnected with others, a number of students took advantage of the sleds and snow hills.  Thank you to all the families who took part to make the evening such a success!  A few pictures of the event are posted below and we ask those that have additional good pictures to please email them to school so they can be shared on the GES website.

*If your family was unable to attend, the Gallery lights will be on over the weekend and evenings early next week.  Stop by at your convenience.

• Registration for Routine Testing
  • Registration is open for COVID-19 testing next Wednesday (1/26) from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm at the Cook County Community Center
  • This testing is open to school staff and students in Cook County (regardless of what school they attend)
