A busy day at the Salvation Army, with families picking out toys for Christmas. Those mountains of gifts that you saw people deliver and donate are now headed out to good homes.

Students from Youth in Action had the job of toy escorts during the morning. "It's really fulfilling, you're able to help someone who needs it most right now. It's such a wonderful season to help people," Anja told us.

Another student, Sasha, added, "Sometimes they want certain things. A woman said her boy likes Minecraft, and we were rooting through there and found a Minecraft thing. It was an amazing experience."

Cyndi Frick, director of development for the Salvation Army, said that a woman was so grateful for the help of the Adopt a Family program. "She had put on her list that she needed four new tires, and she has three teens. The family stopped by her house with four new tires and everything the teens had asked for."
