Progress continues for the Twin Ports Interchange project as I-35 returns to two lanes of traffic in each direction and new traffic impacts begin on Friday, Oct. 8, in Duluth.
- Motorists travelling on northbound I-35 will encounter a shift in traffic as northbound I-35 is routed onto the existing southbound lanes. This configuration will last through the fall of 2022.
- Northbound I-35 to southbound I-535 will close. The signed detour will follow the Highway 2 Bong Bridge.
- The ramp from 27th Avenue West to northbound I-35 will close through Oct. 15. The signed detour will follow I-35 south to 40th Avenue West and then back north.
Looking ahead, the ramp from northbound I-35 to northbound I-35 will be closing in late October.
