The Pride festivities continue down at Bayfront Park bringing those who are apart of and support the LGBTQ community together in person after last year's celebration was virtual.

The crowd was pretty big as Saturday’s celebration continued. Lisa Lepack says, “It's been amazing, Every time I look out over the crowd, there's more and more people which is awesome.”

After last year’s Duluth Superior Pride has held virtually, it means a lot to the people at Pride to see each other face to face again. Lepack says, “with the COVID restrictions I think some of us were concerned about how it would be. But there's lots of masks and lots of social distancing and so it's been awesome great turn out.”

Vivian Nightshade was also excited to see her sister and brotherhood take the stage saying, “it is amazing seeing everyone's artistry and showing themselves and actually coming out of quarantine, being happy, showing and expressing themselves again is so nice to see.”

Along with the performances, queer friendly businesses and resources had their booths on the park grounds as well. Lisa Lepack says, “it's great exposure for businesses that maybe people don't know are LGBT positive.”

It seems everyone is expressing their love for the gay community giving others that same confidence and love they have for each other. Lilly De Larue says, "It really feels good to see that there are still people out there who support the LGBT movement, human rights, equal rights, and love is love.”
