With continuing concerns regarding the COVID-19 virus and now the delta variant, local public spaces are bringing back mask requirements.

Recently, Split Rock Lighthouse announced via Facebook it will start to require all visitors to wear a mask indoors starting Wednesday, September 1.

"MNHS will require all persons, regardless of vaccination status, to wear a face-covering when indoors at MNHS sites and facilities, including Split Rock Lighthouse," said Split Rock Facebook page spokesperson.

Masks will be required inside the Visitor Center, Lighthouse, and Keeper's Home.

Free masks will be available upon entrance.

Face coverings are not required outdoors.
