Cook County Seeks Members for Facilities Advisory Committee

Cook County Government is soliciting applications for membership in a new citizen advisory committee. The Facilities Community Advisory Committee will provide input regarding the development of a new capital improvement plan for the County, as well as issues related to ongoing building and property maintenance.

Four seats on the committee are available to interested county residents. Those with experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply:

  • Architecture and facilities planning
  • Commercial building construction
  • Facilities maintenance
  • Capital planning

Other members of the committee will include a county commissioner, the county administrator, auditor/treasurer and director of maintenance. The first meeting of the committee is expected to take place in June, and the group will meet monthly.  

An application to be considered for membership can be downloaded from the County’s home page at https://www.co.cook.mn.us/. Applications are due by close of business on Friday, May 14, and can be emailed to [email protected]. For more information, please call 218-387-3602.
