At Grand Portage Lodge & Casino, the health and safety of our guests, employees and community is our highest priority. Our recent closure has been in close alignment with the COVID-19 response from Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization and Minnesota health departments. We are now planning the phased reopening of our property, with a tentative reopening date of Monday, June 22, 2020.

As we plan the gradual process of reopening our economy and returning employees to work, we have taken measures to combat the potential impact on our resort and facilities.

We will continue to monitor the situation. As it evolves, our reopening date could change, based upon external factors, such as the planned June 21 reopening of the US/Canadian border.

In addition to our usual high standards of cleanliness, during the closure, the property has been thoroughly deep-cleaned and sanitized, and enhanced health and safety plans have been developed with guidance from public health officials. As our guests may be looking for flexibility when they make their travel plans, please know that you will be able to cancel or rebook your reservation prior to arrival until noon the day of check-in without charge.
