From Cook County Minnesota - March 30, 2020

The Cook County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) has launched a comprehensive COVID-19 hub site, EOC Incident Commanders Mike Keyport and Grace Grinager announced today.

The site, https://cookcountycovid19.org, provides a centralized location for up-to-the-minute information on local, state and national data, said Keyport and Grinager. There are links to local healthcare websites, EOC media releases, the MN Department of Health website, the Center for Disease Control’s website, and a myriad of additional resources.

The site also contains a number of apps with information on everything from local grocery store operations to take-out options and school meal delivery.

“The COVID-19 hub site gives people up-to-date information about our community-wide response efforts and how people can access the resources they need to take care of themselves and their families in their daily lives,” said Grinager. “We have talented information technology staff who has been working long hours to get the site up and running.”

“The biggest benefit to a hub site such as this,” Keyport stated, “is that individuals now have one page that they can access for the latest facts. Information overload and misinformation can be issues in situations such as COVID-19. A central site such as this can help address these concerns.”

Note:  Some individuals are experiencing access issues, depending on the type of device being used.  Utilizing the following URL will mitigate any access issues: www.cookcountycovid19.org.
