Fire crews spent a frigid evening battling a blaze for hours in the Borderlands Monday night.

The fire broke out in Kabetogama, Minnesota around 5 o’clock in the evening.

Kabetogama is about 30 miles southeast of International Falls.

The fire happened at the Voyageur Park Lodge.

No injuries were reported, and authorities say the lodge was empty at the time of the fire.

According to Friends of the Northland FireWire, when crews arrived, part of a two-story structure was engulfed.

The fire destroyed the lodge.

The Kabetogama, International Falls, and the Little Fork Fire Departments responded.

The incident remains under investigation by the St. Louis County Sheriffs and the Fire Marshalls Offices.
