Public Notice from Cook County Sheriff's Office - October 25, 2018

The Cook County Sheriff’s Office has received reports that local residents are receiving multiple telephone scam calls today. Some reporting parties have received three calls within a half hour. 

If you receive any calls you suspect to be scams, simply hang up and do not follow any instructions on pre-recorded messages and never give out financial information to any suspicious caller over the phone. Legitimate organizations have a formal process where customers are contacted by writing and/or do not demand money from a caller.
