I am very happy to be entering my third year as organizer for Operation Family Christmas (OFC). I look forward to helping families in this county that need assistance during the holiday season. It is important as a community that we work together to ensure that all children in our county wake up on Christmas morning and feel the magic that arrives on such a special day. 

Applicants

. You MUST be a parent or legal guardian and live in Cook County. 

. Applications are available at the Senior Center, Cook County Sheriff ’s Office, North Shore Federal Credit Union (Grand Marais, Lutsen and Grand Portage), Grand Marais State Bank (Tofte and GM branch), Cook County and Grand Portage Human Services, Violence Prevention Office, Cook County Schools and Birch Grove School. 

. Applications must be turned in to me by November 20, 2018 at 4 p.m. No exceptions. 

Donors

Christmas Tags will be available at the Senior Center, NSFCU (GM, GP and Lutsen Branch), GM State Bank starting November 26, that have the age, gender and some ideas of each child’s wishes for this Christmas.

You simply pick up a tag(s), go shopping, and return the gifts unwrapped with each ornament tag securely fastened to the outside of the gift bag by December 17 at either the Senior Center, the North Shore Federal Credit Union in Grand Marais or Lutsen or the Grand Marais State Bank.
