On Tuesday, September 18th, Tom Nelson, Doug Sanders, and Tim Velner held a community presentation on the Cook County High School Ice Storm robotics team.
Tim Velner and his Daredevils team from Duluth won the 2017-2018 Chairman’s Award over 200 high school teams for their support given to countless other teams, even one in Sweden. Daredevils offer a summer camp where over 10 teams participated at camp in Summer, 2018. Tim is offering mentoring support to our Cook County team.
How can you support these students?
We are looking for mentors to assist with this program. If you would like to become involved, please contact Tom Nelson via email [email protected]
If you would like to provide financial support for this program, please mail checks (payable to Ice Storm) to Doug Sanders, Education Foundation Treasurer, PO Box 1117, Grand Marais, MN 55604.
Your financial support helps with supplies, meals, entry fees, and travel expenses to the Duluth competition, where over 200 high school teams compete.
Thank you for supporting our talented community youth!
