As of this Tuesday, 9/19, all water and sanitary sewer utility work is complete on the project. There will be no more planned interruptions to residents’ water or sewer service. Thank you to all affected residents for your patience while the work was completed.

Ulland Bros. has begun the sub-cut and backfill of 5th Ave’s road base. This work will proceed through early next week. During this time, residents are encouraged to park on side streets to avoid being blocked in by construction.

Next week, Ulland’s concrete subcontractor will be on-site to begin the remaining curb & gutter on the project. Sidewalks will follow in the coming weeks.

The project is on track to be substantially complete this year in early / mid-October. If lawn areas are unable to be prepared for sod installation until mid-October, sod will not be installed this year to avoid die-off over winter. In that instance, Ulland Bros. will install erosion control mats over the affected lawn areas for stabilization over winter. Sod would then be installed in the spring.

The sod that was installed in mid-August is now well-rooted and has been accepted by the County. Property owners are now responsible for any watering and maintenance that is necessary as they were before the project began. This sod can be mowed at this point in its establishment.
