Join mushers Erin Altemus and Anna Hennessy as they recount their rookie runs on the 1,000-mile Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race in Alaska. In this presentation, Erin and Anna will share stories and photos from the March 2024 race, including the adventures, challenges, and memories from the trail.

Erin Altemus and her husband, Matt, own and operate Sawtooth Racing near Grand Marais. Anna Hennessy trained and raced with a kennel called Shameless Huskies near Willow Alaska for two winters. Previously, Anna ran dogs with Erin and Matt, YMCA Camp Menogyn, and other kennels in Alaska. Both Erin and Anna have worked as nurses at North Shore Health in Grand Marais and have received wide community support for their racing endeavors.
