Thunder Bay 40 (THU040) located approximately 24 kilometres north of the Canada/US border was confirmed in the evening hours of August 2 and is currently sized at 82.0 hectares. The fire is not yet under control.

THU040 has been exhibiting minimal fire behaviour and has not shown any growth since yesterday. The fire is not posing any threat to communities or public safety at this time.
