Exciting news for the Cook County Community Center! The Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) has teamed up with the Center on a new project aimed at improving access to healthy beverages at the community center. This initiative includes the installation of an indoor drinking fountain equipped with a water bottle filling station, a water promotion campaign, as well as an evaluation of our current vending machine offerings. The new water fountain and bottle station is projected to be in place by late summer or early fall, thanks to a grant from the MDH's Good Foods Guidelines Program!

We are interested in hearing from those who use Cook County Community Center's outdoor facilities during the summer. Please complete the “Cook County Community Center Beverage and Hydration Survey”.  We appreciate your feedback on your hydration and drink choices, as well as accessibility. Your input is valuable to us!

Keep an eye out for our upcoming water promotion campaign and educational events on water and healthy beverages, which will take place at the community center and be featured in local media in August and September!

Thank you!
