June 27, 2023 – The Cook County Highway Department is excited to announce the upcoming Flute Reed River Bridge Replacement project. This vital construction initiative aims to enhance the safety and accessibility of our community. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this process.

Important Dates:

· Construction Start Date: July 5, 2023

· Detour Start Date: July 10, 2023

· Project Completion: Mid-October 2023

Location:

Approximately 0.5 miles west of the intersection of CR 69/North Road and CSAH 16/Arrowhead Trail.

Road Closure:

Please note that North Road will be closed at the bridge crossing location beginning July 10, 2023.

Plan alternative routes accordingly.

Project Details:

· The existing 3-span bridge will be replaced with a single span bridge.

· The Highway team will ensure minimal inconvenience to residents and commuters. They will do their best to maintain efficient traffic flow and provide clear signage for detours, if necessary.
