The Grand Marais Lions Club is soliciting nominations for Citizen of the Year to be awarded on Saturday, August 5, 2023, during Fisherman’s Picnic.
The Citizen of the Year award is for an individual or couple whose volunteerism and service to the community has made Cook County a better place to live. In choosing a recipient, consideration will be given to the nominee’s past and ongoing contributions to the community.
A nominee only needs to be nominated once to be considered. If multiple nominations are received for a nominee, all information provided will be compiled and considered, but the number of nominations does not impact the selection.
Nominations are due by 5:00 pm Friday, July 14, 2023.
