The closure on E 5th St has been moved to Tuesday, June 6th due to a technical difficulty, the Cook County Highway Department announced.

East 5th St will be closed from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Tuesday, June 6th between 3rd and 4th Avenue E while a local contractor does private utility work.

Individuals traveling on 5th St can detour around the closure by taking CSAH 10/Broadway Ave to Hwy 61 to CSAH 12/Gunflint or vice versa back to 5th St.
