Once the snow melts, North Shore waterfall season can be pretty magical. Local tourism leaders said the Northland is expecting a strong waterfall season. Hundreds of thousands of acres of melted snowfall finds its way into Lake Superior and on the way, creates quite the show.

However, that begins around this time and only lasts about two weeks. Visit Cook County leaders have a waterfall map highlighting some of the best spots to check out the falls safely.

While they are at their peak in the spring season, waterfalls can be enjoyed all year long.
