Great Expectations School News

Looking for subs!
Do you have a day or two a week you could work with students during school hours? Please let us know if you're interested in subbing for paraprofessionals at GES! We'll invite you in to chat about our program, and go over the ropes.

We're also still hiring for Special Ed Paraprofessionals, full and part time. Please contact us with questions!

A quick note from Director Rachael

If you have not completed the parent/guardian survey to indicate your intentions for your child next year, please take a moment to do so now.  It takes only a minute and helps with planning and staffing.  Thanks!

Public Health Update

COVID COMMUNITY LEVEL LINK  - This link updates every Thursday at 8:00 pm. We are currently at LOW

Covid 19 Testing is available from 1:30 – 4:00 p.m. on Wednesdays at the Community Center in Grand Marais.

Parents/guardians or staff sign-up using the links below:

Wednesday, March 16 PHHS Testing: Routine Testing for COVID-19 at Community Center (signupgenius.com)
Wednesday, March 23 PHHS Testing: Routine Testing for COVID-19 at Community Center (signupgenius.com)

Routine testing is a safe, effective way to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.  Many children or adults who have COVID-19 are asymptomatic or have very mild symptoms but can still spread the virus to others.  By offering regular testing opportunities and providing timely follow-up, someone who tests positive is more likely to stay home for an appropriate period of time and prevent COVID from spreading in childcare/school facilities.

Children must have a parent/guardian present at the point of testing to provide consent.

Feel free to reach out to us in public health with questions ([email protected]).
