A note from Director Rachael

Snowshoes, snow hills, snowsnakes, and ice skates!   January has been filled with a great deal of active outdoor learning which restores a sense of normalcy during the strange time we’re living through.    I want to thank each and every one of you for the patience you’ve shown as we navigate the new CDC guidelines.  We have received thoughtful feedback from many of you which will be reviewed by the staff next Tuesday afternoon.
I appreciate you!
Rachael

In the Classrooms:

For the last two months the Otters have learned about different human body systems, and this week they teamed up and created posters of assigned body systems, wrote a paragraph about them, and presented them to their classmates. They all did a great job!

Some of the Otters students have become quite proficient with the kendama, a Japanese ball and sword game that increases hand-eye coordination, balance and reflex.  These students report that they spend quite a bit of time learning new tricks each day - after homework, of course!
