The New Scenic Café reopened their doors on Wednesday with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The business has been operating full dine in service for a while but marked today as its official return. They opened back in 1991 but the café had to shut down for two years due to the covid-19 pandemic.

New Scenic Café along with other businesses either closed without knowing if they were going to reopen their doors again or struggled desperately. According to the Wall Street Journal, the pandemic has permanently closed the doors of roughly 200,000 business around the United States.

In the beginning, trying to figure out how long the pandemic was going to last was tricky, especially when it came to operating the restaurant. During that time, New Scenic Café pondered over how to be convenient to their customers during those difficult years with the pandemic and other bumps in the roads towards reopening their door with limited staffers.

“As things started to develop, we winded out that winter. We started the food truck with those eight people again and as this summer approached, we hired more and started doing food inside more cafeteria and counter styles service,” said executive chef and owner Scott Graden.

New Scenic Café will be open on Wednesday through Sunday, 11am--9pm for lunch and dinner.
