Many music traditions and live shows are coming back to the Northland this summer. This week's edition of Northland Music Revival takes Northlanders under the Big Top in Bayfield, Wisconsin.

"There's just something about a packed room getting the energy for the person next to you," said co-music director, Ed Willett.

And this year, that energy is felt at Big Top Chautauqua.

For it's '35th year of love,' organizers are thrilled to perform face to face with listeners.

"Music making is a synergy, it's a symbiosis," said Willett. "It's what we do together with the audience."

After a year of performing to screens, Willett says there was certainly a learning curve when it came to their return back to the stage-- but musicians and fans alike can agree it was all worth it to be back under the Big Top again

One of this year's performances was all about the wealth of history surrounding Wisconsin-- including a spotlight on the Clear Lake, Wisconsin man who created what we now know as earth day.

When it comes to the skill, Willett says the musician's talent speaks for itself.

"Theres a ridiculous amount of talent here - which is true of a lot of destination places. When you have a beautiful place like this there's a disproportionate number of really good people here."
