The Grand Marais Public Library is delighted to host climate scientist and writer Anna Farro Henderson to lead a free writing workshop on Saturday, November 9, at 10:30 AM.

This workshop will focus on our relationship to nature and creative process. Attendees will explore poetry, fiction, and non-fiction through a range of readings, creative writing exercises, and mini-lectures. This free class is designed for writers of all levels, so whether attendees are trying this out for the first time or are experienced authors, all are welcome.

Anna Farro Henderson is an award-winning writer, PhD scientist, and environmental policy expert. She is a fellow at the Institute on the Environment at the University of Minnesota, teaches at the Loft Literary Center, and works in climate advocacy.

Her book, Core Samples: a Climate Scientist’s Experiments in Politics and Motherhood, is out October 22. Bill McKibben, author of The End of Nature, wrote, "This is a remarkably honest book—and therefore funny, moving, and eminently worth reading. For the class, attendees should bring a notebook and something to write with.
