In modern western square dance you learn calls, not routines.  When the caller makes a call you and the other dancers in the square react to dance whatever choreography the caller is calling.  You need to take lessons to learn the calls.  Lessons will be 8 weeks beginning May 18 from 7:30 to 9:00 PM at the Cook County Community Center 4H building.  At the end of the class you should know about 30 calls and can join a more experienced group that dances on Thursday nights.  Ultimately I would like everyone to be square dancing with 50 calls.  Each week builds on the preceding week.  New dancers welcome on May 18 and May 25.  Cost by donation.  You can bring a partner, but it is not required.
