This Emergency Medical Technician course is a hybrid course using live virtual instruction, e-learning, and hands-on instruction. The e-learning components will be available 24 hours a day. virtual (Zoom) and in-person skills instruction will be scheduled. CCHE is working on bringing the instructor to Grand Marais to provide the in-person skills (this may modify the dates/times of in-person skills). Students will have access to attend virtual (zoom) classes in their own homes on a computer or at CCHE using ITV. In all, this is a 160 hour plus course. This class will prepare students for taking the NREMT written exam. You must receive a 72% score on the FISDAP exam to be approved for taking the NREMT written exam. Students will need to complete the NREMT Practical Exam at Hibbing Community College as part of the course. The written exam is on your own. CCHE is able to proctor FISDAP in Grand Marais.
