Boundary Waters Volunteer Project--Rose Lake to Rove Lake Portage Clearing
Help us open up the "long portage" in this popular and picturesque area of the Boundary Waters!
Northwoods Volunteer Connection (NVC) is planning a volunteer trip to clear the last 100 rods of the "long portage" between Rose and Rove lakes in the Boundary Waters Wilderness. This project requires camping for 3 nights in the BWCA and a project registration fee of $50.
NVC provides leadership, tools, training, and can loan camping gear to some volunteers. Volunteers receive a $30/day stipend to cover the cost of food while on the project.
