Beginning Swedish For Little Kids & Parents
Saturdays, May 2-23 | 10am-11am
Instructor: Josie Arrowsmith
FREE - Donations Welcome - Registration Required www.myCCHE.org | 218-387-3411 | [email protected]
This would be best for 4-6 year olds and their adults. This class will combine movement strategies and interaction to keep you and your little ones engaged and active while learning Swedish together. We will learn about greetings, colors, body parts, numbers, and more! You and your little one should be prepared to sing, dance, wiggle, and play games all while learning Swedish. I look forward to gathering together and playing while we learn!
We ask that you have these supplies on hand to help with learning:
+ blank paper to draw on
+ crayons, markers or pencils with the colors red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, black, brown, white
+ 2-4 stuffed animals or animal toy
+ scissors
Josie Arrowsmith grew up learning Swedish as a child through the Concordia Language Villages, and from that foundation has had the opportunity to teach Swedish to children for many years. She has studied teaching at the University of Minnesota, and has taught literacy and reading strategies through the Minnesota ReadingCorps program. Josie also studies the Norse Runes and is a bindrune artist, and is the mother of two, Elin is 11 and Oscar is 9.
