Andrew L Byholm, 78, of Grand Marais, MN died Friday January 24, 2020 at the North Shore Hospital in Grand Marais, surrounded by family.

Andy was born on January 25, 1941 to Roy and Florence (Galligan) Byholm in Deer Brook, Wisconsin. In 1956 he moved to Cook County and later graduated from Cook County High School.

Andy married Carole Buckman on April 12, 1969 at Zoar Lutheran Church in Tofte, MN. His career included truck driving, welding and mechanics. Welding was Andy’s passion, which he shared by teaching others to weld.

Andrew is preceded in death by his wife Carole, both of his parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters. He is survived by daughters Rhonda (Butch) Schulte, Karen and Dawn Byholm; granddaughter Mandy Theiner; and great-grandchildren Amber and Jase; all of Grand Marais, MN.

A memorial gathering will be held at 11:00 am Saturday February 1st, 2020 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Grand Marais, MN.
