CANCELLED Project & Change Management Essentials 2 Day Workshop
Learn how to organize and implement your idea successfully.
Has your organization identified a new program or a major improvement that needs to be implemented? Are you ready to make that idea a reality in a way that saves time, money and sets the work up for success? Then this workshop is for you!
Bring your project idea to this workshop and we will teach you how to organize it into a straightforward project plan and successfully manage its implementation. You don’t need a MBA or business certification to do this. We’ve taken the best and most important elements of formal project management and change management methodologies and boiled them down to a process that is straightforward and easy to use. And we’ve tested our approach with dozens of civic-sector professionals just like you - it really works!
This two-day workshop is a practical, hands-on experience covering all of the essential elements of writing and managing a project plan in the stakeholder-rich environment of civic-sector organizations (education, government, nonprofits). This is a phenomenal skill-building / professional development opportunity AND you will walk away with a substantially complete project plan that you can use to officially launch your project idea.
Participants will learn how to:
- Develop success measures for their project
- Determine project scope – what’s included and what’s not
- Analyze and plan for risks to the project’s success
- Build project advocates and minimize resistance (especially important in the civic-sector!)
- Create a project schedule
- Lead a project team
- Track progress
Participants must bring a current project idea to the workshop. Class-size is limited to ensure participants have the opportunity to discuss the issues faced on their particular project. This workshop is ideal for teams working together on one project idea.
