September Guest Lecture: Agates - Minnesotan's Favorite Rock Presenter: Kenny Albrecht Zenkenkai Jewelry

Mr. Albrecht will be presenting about the local geology of the North Shore. The discussion will focus on Lake Superior agates, thomsonite, and Isle Royale greenstone. He will provide rock samples to view and discuss. The guest lecture will conclude with a time for questions and answers.
Presenter: Kenny Albrecht His grandfather was a renowned gemologist who got Kenny interested in rocks when he was just a little kid. It was about 7 years ago when Kenny started lapidary, the art of cutting and polishing stones and gems to turn them into jewelry. He has been slowly building his skills and knowledge ever since.
