Art Colony Art Installation with Charles Matson Lume

Exhibition Title: "which mothers forth mud and mint" (for Mark Doty)

Charles Matson Lume, St. Paul based light and materials artist and professor of art at UW-Stout, spent a week at the Art Colony's new building at 21 1st Avenue, to christen the space with a site-specific installation playing upon the building's unfinished and yet to be redesigned state.

Charles often uses a poem as a kind of fulcrum to create a new energy or herd his thoughts in a new direction. Doty's poem provides inspiration for the title of the exhibition and touches on ideas of time, connection, and the source of it all.

The installation will be open for viewing on the following days:

August 17, 24 & 31 | 10 am - 1 pm

Note that the map indicates our building at 120 W 3rd Avenue but the event is held at 21 Highway 61.
