David Battistel presents "Leeblain the Ghost Town of Gunflint"
David Battistel presents the story of the ghost town called Leeblain.
David Battistel presents the story of Leeblain the Ghost Town of Gunflint.
The story of this town, located on Gunflint Lake along the Ontario-Minnesota border, dates back more than 125 years. Leeblain was expected to become a booming town in the wilderness due to the business generated by the Port Arthur, Duluth and Western Railway and the Paulson Mine.
Its failure and the mystery that surrounds it are an interesting chapter in the history of the Boundary Waters.
All presentations are family friendly and free to the public.
The presentation will be held inside Chik-Wauk Nature Center.
