Understanding & Responding to Dementia-Related Behavior
An Alzheimer's Association Class for Caregivers
Behavior is a powerful form of communication and one of the primary ways for people with dementia to communicate their needs and feelings as language abilities are lost. However, some behaviors can present real challenges for caregivers. Join us to learn to decode behavioral messages, identify common triggers, and learn strategies to help intervene with the most common behavioral challenges of Alzheimer’s disease. The program is offered free of charge. Refreshments will be provided. For more information please contact Kay Grindland at 387-3788 or [email protected]. The program is made possible by a grant from the Cook County Community Fund.
