In Modern Western Square Dance you do not learn routines, you learn calls, and everyone reacts to what the caller calls. The first week we will learn 11 calls. Over the next 11 weeks we will learn 3 to 6 calls each week, and at the end of the twelfth week we will be dancing with 50 calls. From then on we will just be square dancing each week. With 50 calls we can have a quite varied choreography. Beginners are welcome the first two weeks, but since each lesson builds on what went before, no new dancers will be taken from week 3 on. If you don't like the idea of lessons, think of it as just dancing, and we are just adding some new calls each week. No fancy footwork and no fancy clothes are required. Cost is by donation.
